Girls' Metal Work 
"One year, the girls complained that they never had a chance to do any woodwork or metalwork, so the school implemented a term for the girls to study metalwork and woodwork and the boys did sewing and typing. The girls made shoe-cleaning boxes, pencil boxes, enamel jewellery, screwdrivers, dustpans and plant holders."      Annette Donaldson
